COMMERCIAL PROPERTY
Why should you open a business in Palmyra?
The Village of Palmyra offers you the opportunity to launch or grow your retail business in a community that is both the destination of thousands of tourists annually and the cross roads of two major NYS highways, just four miles from the NYS Thruway exit 43. Twenty minutes from metropolitan Rochester and from Canandaigua, half an hour from Lake Ontario, and an hour from Syracuse, Palmyra annually welcomes thousands of visitors to LDS religious sites, our historic museums and the Erie Canal. Economic assistance to business start-ups and expansion of current businesses is available through micro-enterprise loans from the Village of Palmyra and the Wayne County Industrial Development Association. Empire Zone status is also a possibility. Call 315-597-4849, the Palmyra Village Hall, for additional information on Palmyra and your economic possibilities here.

If you are the owner of a commercial rental property...
If you have rental commercial or office property available, let us help you tell the world. Send the following information to palmyramayor@palmyrany.com or bring it to the Village Hall, 144 East Main Street, 315-597-4849, during business hours.
1) The address of the available rental property. (This is retail or office space only, not residential or apartments.)
2) A photo, preferably digital
3) Square footage
4) Availability of parking for customers
5) Availability of loading dock
6) If the building has historical significance, 1 – 2 sentences about it.
7) A contact phone number and/or email address, either the owner’s or a realtor if one is involved. This information will be displayed here. No fee is involved, but the owner of each property is asked to inform the Village as the properties are rented. This is a service provided by the Town and Village of Palmyra.
