Tuesday 7th of April, 1846
At the annual Town meeting of the inhabitants of the town of Palmyra held pursuant to adjournment at the Public House occupied by Butler Newton in the Village of Palmyra on tuesday the seventh day of April 1846.

Frederick Smith, Isaac E Beecher, Samuel Cole and James Hubbell justices of the peace in and for said town and Augustus Elmendorf Town clerk ?
Voted that three constables be chosen for the ensuing year
Voted that three commissioners of highways be chosen for the ensuing year and one overseer of the poor
The following named persons having received the greatest number of votes are declared duly elected to the several and respective offices for which they are respectively named to wit

Voted that the collector of this town be allowed three per cent for collecting of taxes the ensuing year after expiration of the time ? ? for which said taces may be paid in at one per cent.
Voted that the board of supervisors of this county are hereby authorized to cause to be raised by tax on this town the ensuing year three hundred and fifty dollars in addition to two hundred fifty dollars, the sum now allowed by law; to pay for constructing or repairing roads and bridges in said Town of Palmyra
Voted That the fence? viewers be allowed twenty-five cents each for every service or view and a certificate of the change ascertained by them.
Voted that the supervisor be directed to pay to Franklin Lakey, the amount of a tax which said Lakey said he was assessed when a farm ? by him in 1839 said farm lying partly in Macedon and partly in Palmyra upon be satisfied by affidavit or other satisfactory evidence that said Lakey was illegaly and improperly assessed for said farm in Palmyra and ? the taxes asses thereon in both towns.
Voted that the supervisor referred to William B Johnson upon being satisfied by affidavit the amount erroneously assessed on 15 acres of land lying in Palmyra by reason of the ? having been twice assessed the last year and his having paid the ?
Voted that this meeting stand adjourned until the first Tuesday of April next then to be held at the public house (Bunker Hill House) now kept by Butler Newton in the village of Palmyra at 10 oclock a.m.

Whereas at the town electing held in the town of Palmyra in the county of Wayne this 7th day of April 1846 the following persons to wit ? Leonard L Seaman, Jacob D Rogers and Maltby Clark were duly chosen assessors of said town for the year ensuing the date here of and whereas the town board of C? for said town did on this 7th day of April 1846 in persuance of the act entitled. an act to reduce the number of town officers and town and county ex? And to ? abuses in auditing town and county accounts payed May 10 1845 review to divide by lot said assessors and upon such division into three ? it was determined that the fence of officer of the said Maltby Clark be one year that the term of officer of the said Jacob D Rogers be two years the the term of office of Leonard L Seaman be three years from the date hereof and and until a ? be elected or chosen

Whereas at the town meeting held in the town of Palmyra in the county of Wayne this 7th day of April 1846 the following named persons to wit: Asahel Milland, Lyman Reeves, and Elisha W Cobb were chosen commissioners of highways for said town for the year ensuing the date hereof and whereas the town board of cau? For said town did on this 7th day of April 1846 in persuance of the act payed May 10 1845 entitled. An act to reduce the member of town officers and town and county excuse and to ? abuses in auditing town and county accounts. ? to divide by ? said commissioners and where such division in vas determined that the term of office of Elisha W Cobb be one year, the term of office of Asahel Milland be two years and the term of office of Lyman Reeves be three years from the date hereof and until a successor shall be elected or chosen Given under our hands this 7th day of April 1846.

We the board of town officers for the town of Palmyra in the county of Wayne do certify that the following is a correct statement of the result of the votes given for and against license warrant to the act entitled an act relating to excise ? passed May 14, 1845; at the election held in said town on the 19th day of May in the year on thousand eight hundred and forty six.
That the whole number of ballots received at said election was four hundred and ninety seven and that the whole number of said ballots having thereon the word license alone was one hundred thirty five, and that the whole number of said ballots having thereon the words no license was three hundred and sixty two.
We do hereby certify that the above statement is in all respects, correct.

We the board of town officers of the town of Palmyra as the annual town meeting held therein on the 7th day of April 1846 do certify that we have and we do hereby appoint the following named persons to be inspectors of election respectively in the two election districts to wit: Hazard W Rogers one of the Inspectors of election for election district number on in the said town of Palmyra dn James Reeves one of the inspectors of election for distict number two in palmyra aforesaid.
The said Hazard W Rogers and the said James Reeves having received the greatest number of votes for inspectors of election for the respective district for which they are named next to the inspectors of duly elected by the people

Broke into the enclosure of the subscriber about 4½ miles north of the Village of Palmyra on the Pultneyville Road about the 27th day of May last a middle-sized sorrel mare with a very small white star in her forehead about 5 years old. Palmyra, June 5th, 1846.
