Tuesday  2nd day of April 1839

 

 

At the annual town meeting of the inhabitants of the town of Palmyra held pursuant to adjournment at the Stone School House near Hiram Fosters on Tuesday the 2nd day of April 1839.

Voted – That three assessors and three constables be chosen for the ensuing year –

 

The following persons having received the greatest number of votes are declared duly elected to the several and respective offices                                                                                     Viz:

Egbert B. Grandin – Assessor

Joseph Willcox – Assessor

 

Truman Heminway – Commissioner of

William Beals – Commissioner of Highways

 

James Hubbell – Commissioner of Schools

Samuel Cole – Commissioner of Schools

Isaac E. Beecher – Commissioner of Schools

 

George Culver – Overseer of the Poor

Marlin W. Willcox – Overseer of the Poor

 

Hiram Church – Collector

 

Hiram Church – Constable

John D. McComb – Constable

John Beals – Constable

 

Jacob J. Delamaten – Inspector of Common

Voted – That this meeting stand adjourned until the first Tuesday of April next, then to be held at the public House now occupied by Asa Lilly in the Village of Palmyra at 9 Oclock A. M.
