Minutes
1831 Minutes: AT the annual town meeting of the inhabitants of the Town of Palmyra held at Ambrose Salisbury's dwelling house in said town on Tuesday, April 5th, 1831, present: Frederick Smith and Ambrose Salisbury, Esquires, Justices of the Peace of said town and Inspectors of said election.
Voted that we choose three assessors.
Voted that we choose four constables.
Voted that the Justices of the Peace be elected on the same ballot with the other officers.
Voted that the town sealer be elected by ballot and upon the same ticket with the other officers.
Voted that the Commissioners and Inspectors of Common Schools be allow $1 per day for their services.
Voted that the Collector have 5% for collecting.
The following persons having received the greatest number of votes are declared duly elected to the several and respective offices: Ambrose Salisbury – Supervisor

Broke into the enclosure of the subscriber about the middle of May, 1831, a two-year-old black steer with a little white on one of his hind legs. Caleb Beal

Broke into the enclosure of the subscriber about June 1st last and continued in and about the same until about October 1st last and is now in the same and has been so from about said October 1st, a red yearling steer with a white spot in his face and some white under his jaws about also on his brisket. Broke into the enclosure of the subscriber on or about November 28th last, a cow, seven or eight years old with red color on the sides and white on the back, brindle face, and having one cropped horn and a split in the left ear. Palmyra, December 3rd, 1831.

Came into the enclosure of the subscriber on the 5th instant a dark chestnut colored horse about fourteen or fifteen years old, lame in his off hind leg. Palmyra, December 8th, 1831.
