1817:
Luman Harrison's mark: A crop off the left ear and a halfpenny under the right ear. (Transferred from Jonathan Horten on page 99 and entered April 11th, 1817.)
Gardner Wise' mark: A square crop off the left ear and a slit in the right ear. (Recorded May 21st, 1817.)
Job Fish's mark: A swallow's tail in the end of the right ear. Transferred from page 194 and entered May 24th, 1817. (Transferred to Ebenezer Hathaway on August 17th, 1827.)
Asa R. Swift's mark: A square crop of the left ear and a slope off the foreside of the right. Ear transferred from page 169 and entered June 4th, 1817.
Henry Post's mark: A square fork the underside of the right ear and a halfpenny the underside of the left ear. Entered January 17th, 1818.
William Hoag's mark: A crop of the right ear with two swallow tail forks in the end of the same and a half crop the underside of the left ear. Transferred from Joseph Hoag on page 187 and entered May 9th, 1818.
Stephen Durfee II's mark: A crop of the right ear and a slit in the upperside of the same and a slit in the underside of the left ear. Transferred from Henry Proper on page 187 and entered May 28th, 1818. (Transferred to Robert Faulkner on July 20th, 1821.)
Paul Sheffield's mark: A swallow's tail in the left ear and a halfcrop of the underside of the right ear. Transferred from Gabriel Woodmauser on page 191 and entered January 16th, 1819.
William P. Capron's mark: Two round holes in the left ear and one round hole in the right ear. Transferred from Joshua Kinney on page 156 and recorded March 11th, 1819.
Jacob Hoag's mark: A crop of the left ear and two swallow tail forks in the end of the same. Transferred from Stephen A. Hoag on page 187 and recorded March 16th, 1819.
Walter Noris' mark: A slope the foreside of the right ear. Transferred from Job B. Norris on page 180 and recorded May 10th, 1819.
At the annual town meeting held in the meetinghouse in the Village of Palmyra on the 1st day of April, 1817. Present: Stephen Phelps, Ira Selby, and Frederick Smith, Esq. - Justices of the Peace, inspectors of said meeting.
Voted David White serve as Supervisor the year ensuing.
Voted James White serve as Town Clerk the year ensuing.
Voted Stephen Shearman, Henry Jessup, and Calvin Bradish serve as Assessors the year ensuing.
Voted Isaac Durfee, Gideon Sherman, and Asa Aldrich serve as Commissioners of Highways the year ensuing.
Voted Lemuel Durfee and Darius Comstock serve as Overseers of the Poor the year ensuing.
Voted Lemuel Spear serve as Collector the year ensuing.
Voted Lemuel Spear, Nathaniel Sanburn, Asa R. Swift, Jacob VanDusen, Jesse Penfield serve as Constables the year ensuing.
Voted Darius Comstock, Seymour Sewell, and Ira Selby serve as Commissioners of Common Schools for the year ensuing.
Voted James S. Stoddard, John Lapham, Charles Bradish, Stephen Shearman, Jonathan Ramsdale, and James White serve as Inspectors of Common Schools the year ensuing.
Voted the following persons serve as Overseers of Highways and Fence Viewers in the several road districts the year ensuing; viz.,

Voted James Waterman serve as Pound Keeper the year ensuing.
Voted swine and geese run at large, but owners pay all damages without any reference to fine.
Voted the law respecting horses passed at the last town meeting be and the same is hereby repealed.
Voted that horses shall not be free commoners, and that any person who shall permit his or her horse(s) to run at large shall forfeit and pay the sum of $2 to be collected agreeable to the statute and applied to the benefit of the poor in said town.
Voted that the law respecting neat cattle stand as it was passed at the last annual town meeting, except that the fine be reduced to $1 and said fine to be collected and applied in the same manner as the fine is directed to be collected and applied respecting horses.
Voted the fine respecting ram sheep be the same as last year. Said fine be collected and applied as in the law respecting horses.
Voted sheep shall not be free commoners the ensuing year.
Voted the law respecting wolves stand as last year.
Voted the town raise $60 for erecting guide boards.
Voted the town raise $30 for the purpose of procuring a standard of weights and measures.
Voted Ira Selby serve as Sealer of Weights and Measures, and he is hereby directed to procure the same.
Voted that $10 be raised for repairing the pound, and the Supervisor is hereby directed to make the repair.
Voted this meeting stand adjourned until the 1st Tuesday in April next, then to be opened at this place at 10:00 a.m.

Survey of a public highway beginning at the west line of the Town of Palmyra running east 45 degrees, south 132 rods, thence east on the line between Samuel Ladd and Josiah Alverd 143 rods and 17 links, thence east 31 degrees, south 40 rods to the center of the highway at the foot of the hill west of Nehemiah Bassett’s house. Explored and actually surveyed by us this 5th day of April, 1817.

Record from the minutes of the survey of a public highway beginning at the southeast corner of Preston R. Parker’s farm, thence west 31 degrees, west 8 rods, thence west 11 degrees, north 12 rods, thence west 27 degrees, south 12 rods to the south line of said Parker’s farm, thence west on said line 69 rods, thence west 8 degrees, south 72 rods to the center of the highway running north from Moses Culver’s towards the north line of the Town of Palmyra. Explored and actually surveyed on June l0th, 1817 by Isaac Durfee and Gideon Sherman, Commissioners of Highways.

Record of the survey and alteration of a public highway beginning at the center of the highway 2 rods west of the house formerly owned by Isaac Richardson, thence south 9 degrees, east 14 rods, thence south 7 degrees, east 44 rods, thence south 2 degrees, west 8 rods, thence south 13 degrees, west 18 rods, thence south 28 degrees, west 12 rods to the center of a highway running from Scovell’s mill, south to the town line. Explored and actually surveyed at Palmyra on June 30th, 1817, by Isaac Durfee and Asa Aldrich, Jr., Commissioners of Highways.

Record of the alteration of a public highway beginning in the center of the highway 30 rods north of the south line of Silas Stoddard’s home farm, thence north 3 ½ degrees, west 180 rods, thence north 15 degrees, west 35 rods to the center of the highway.
