A record of the description of the several School Districts in the Town of Palmyra as done by Darius Comstock, Joel Foster, and Gain Robinson, School Commissioners for the Town of Palmyra.
1st School District: Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot No. 1 in Township No. 12, 3rd Range, thence southeast on the south town line to the west line of Lot No. 53, thence north on the west line of said lot and the west line of Lot No. 38 to the south bank of Mud Creek, thence west on Calvin Perrine's south line to the west line of said Perrine's land, thence north to the south bank of Mud Creek, westerly on said creek to the bridge near Colt's Distillery, thence north to Nathan Harris' north line, thence west to the west line of Lot No. 25 in Township No. 12, 3rd Range, thence south to the place of beginning.
2nd School District: Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot No. 53 in Township No. 12, 2nd Range, thence east on the town line to the southeast corner of Lot No. 59, thence south on the east line of said lot and the east line of Lot No. 58 and 34 to the south bank of Mud Creek, thence up said creek to the southwest corner of Lot No. 38, thence south to the place of beginning.
3rd School District: Beginning at the southeast corner of the last described school district, thence east on the town line to the southeast corner of Township No. 12, 2nd Range, thence north to the northeast corner of Lot No. 72 in said township, thence west to the west line of said lot, thence south to the southwest corner of said lot, thence west to the west line of Lot No. 69, thence south to the northeast corner of Lot No. 67, thence west to the northwest corner of Lot. No. 60, thence south to the place of beginning.
4th School District: Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot No. 25 in Township No. 12, 2nd Range, thence north to the northeast corner of said town, thence west to the northwest corner of Lot No. 121, thence south to the north line of Lot No. 16, thence south on the east line of said lot to the north line of Lot No. 134, thence south on the east line of said lot and the east line of Lots No. 17, 28, and 29 to the north line of School District No. 3.
5th School District. Bounded east by School district No. 4 and south by District Nos. 2 and 3 and north by the north line of Township No. 12, 2nd Range and the south line of Lot No. 117 and west by the west line of the Long Island track.
6th School District. Bounded south by Mud Creek and School District No. 1, east by the 5th School District, west by Lots No. 100 and 78 and north by the north lines of Lots No. 76 and 89 in Township No. 12, 2nd Range.
7th School District. Bounded east by the 5th School District, north by the town line, south by the 6th School District and west by the west lines of Lots No. 116, 112, 109, 102, 98, and 78 in Township No. 12, 2nd Range.
8th School District: Bounded east by the 7th School District, north by the town line, west by the west line of Township No. 12, 2nd Range and the west line of George Burdon and Noah Palmer's lots and south by Lots No. 103, 97, 90, and 93 in Township No. 12, 2nd Range.
9th School District. Bounded east by the east line of No. 12, 3rd Range and the west line of Noah Palmer's and George Burdon's lots, north by the north town line, west by the west line of Lots No. 46, 53, and 70 and south by the north line of Lots No. 25, 26, and 27 in Township No. 12, 3rd Range.
10th School District: Bounded east by west line of Lots No. 24 and 25, north by the 9th School District and the north line of Lots No. 29, 28, and 27, west by the west line of Lots No. 4 and 21 and a center line north and south through Lot No. 29 and south by the town line in Township No. 12, 3rd Range.
11th School District: Bounded east by Scholl District Nos. 9 and 10, north by the north line of Lots No. 52, 53, and 54, west by the west line of Lots No. 43 and 54 and south by the 10th School district in Township No. 12, 3rd Range.
12th School District: Bounded south by the 11th School District east by the 9th School District, north by the town line, west by west line of Lot No. 67 to Township No. 12, 3rd Range.
13th School District: Bounded east by the 10th School District, south by the town line, west by the west line of Lot No. 28 and north by Mud Creek in Township No. 12, 3rd Range.
14th School District: Boundaries of a school district including a part of Perinton and Palmyra as agreed to by the School Commissioners of both the above named towns; viz., beginning at the northeast corner of Lot No. 9 in Palmyra, thence south to the town line, thence west on the town line 2½ miles, thence north 110 rods, thence west 160 rods, thence north 260 rods, thence east 2½ miles, south 50 rods, thence east 160 rods to the place of beginning, including all the inhabitants living within the above bounds, excepting Joseph Comstock and Allen Smith.

15th School District: Bounded by Mud Creek, east by a north and south center line of Lots No. 29 and 44, north by the so-called Great Swamp, west by the west line of Lots No. 33 and north in Township No. 12, 3rd Range.
16th School District: Boundaries of a school district including a part of Palmyra and Perinton, as agreed by the School Commissioners of both towns; viz., beginning at the northwest corner of Lot No. 37 in Palmyra, thence east 1 mile, thence south 1 mile, thence east ½ mile, thence south on the line of 1 mile, 270 rods, thence west 2½ miles, thence north to the northeast corner of Lot No. 9 in Perinton, thence east to the place of beginning.

17th School District: Beginning in the northwest corner of Township No. 12, 3rd Range, bounded east by School Districts No. 11 and 12, north by the town line, west by the west town line and south by School District No. 16. At the annual town meeting held in the meeting house in the Village of Palmyra on the first Tuesday in April, 1814. Ira Selby, Abner Cole, and Levi Ward – Justices of the Peace - Inspectors of said meeting.
Resolved that James White serve as town Clerk for the ensuing year.
Voted that Pardon Durfee serve as Supervisor for the ensuing year.
Voted that David White, David Willcox, and Luman Harrison serve as Assessors for the ensuing year.
Voted that Joseph Comstock, John Russell, and Stephen Sherman serve as Commissioners of Highways for the ensuing year.
Voted that Nathan Comstock and Abraham Spear serve as Overseers of the Poor for the ensuing year.
Voted George Culver serve as Collector for the ensuing year.
Voted that George Culver, James Benjamin, Daniel M. Beers, and Denison Rogers serve as Constables for the ensuing year.

Voted the Overseers of Highways serve as Fence Viewers for the ensuing year.
Voted that swine and geese are not free commoners for the ensuing year.
Voted that the law respecting horses stand as it was the past year.
Voted the law respecting ram sheep stand as it di the past year.
Voted the supervisor procure a site and build a pound with money now in his hands raised for that purpose the ensuing year.
Voted that Gain Robinson serve as Pound Keeper for the ensuing year.
Voted that the supervisor raise a sum of money equal to that which shall be received from the school fund in this town for the benefit of common schools the ensuing year.
Voted that Gain Robinson, Darius Comstock, and Joel Foster serve as School Commissioners for the ensuing year.
Voted Rev. Hippocrates Rowe, James Benjamin, Joseph Comstock, Ira Selby, William Rogers, and Oliver Clark serve as Inspectors of Schools for the ensuing year.
Voted that this meeting be adjourned until the first Tuesday in April, 1815, then to be opened at this place at 9 o'clock a.m.

April 20th, 1814. Record made according to the minutes of the survey of a highway as surveyed by John Russell and Joseph Comstock, two of the commissioners of Highways for the Town of Palmyra; viz., beginning on the south line of Palmyra at the southwest corner of Lot No. 3 in Township No. 12, 3rd Range, thence north on the west side of said lot, 251 rods until it intersects a road leading from Ethan Lapham's to George Crane's, explored and survey April 11th, 1814. A true copy of the original minutes.

Record according to the minutes of the survey of a public highway as surveyed by John Russell and Stephen Sherman, Commissioners of the Highways, for the town of Palmyra, beginning in the center of a public highway leading from the village of Palmyra to the Village of Lyons on the north side of Mud Creek, thence north 2 degrees east on a line between Robert Hinds' and William Willcox' lands 102 rods, thence north 33 degrees, east 24 rods, thence north 38 degrees, east 20 rods, thence north 2 degrees, west 12 rods, thence north 34 degrees, west 42 rods, thence north 2 degrees, east 374 rods to intersect a road leading from Samuel Clark's to Paul Goldsmith's. Explored and surveyed May 2nd, 1814. Recorded May 10th, 1814.

Recorded August 11th, 1814. Palmyra – August 11th, 1814. We, the subscribers: Commissioners of common Schools for the Town of Palmyra, having duly considered a certificate of the Commissioners of Common School in the Town of Lyons do agree in compliance therewith that John Miller, named in said certificate be, and he is hereby annexed to the 4th School District in the town of Palmyra. The above is a true copy. Signed: Gain Robinson, Darius Comstock, and Joel Foster – School Commissioners.

Recorded August 11th, 1814. This may certify that John Miller residing in the 11th School District in the Town of Lyons is hereby annexed to the 4th School District in the Town of Palmyra, provided it be the wish and voice of the inhabitants of the said School District No. 4 in the Town of Palmyra aforesaid.

1814. We, the Commissioners of Common Schools for the Towns of Farmington and Palmyra, do agree that Lots 9, 10, and that part of Lot No. 11 that belongs to Sunderland Patterson in the Town of Palmyra shall be annexed to School District No.13 in Farmington and also Lot No. 140 in the town of Farmington shall be annexed to School District No.13 in Palmyra.

A record from the minutes of the survey of a public highway explored and surveyed by John Russell and Joseph Comstock, town of the Commissioners of Highways for the Town of Palmyra, beginning in the center of a highway running from Darius Comstock’s northwardly to Abraham Lapham’s a little south of the house owned by the heirs of David Lapham, deceased, thence east 1 degree south, 77 rods, thence east 39 degrees, north 90 rods to the west end of the sawmill dam owned by Paul reed, thence east 8 degrees, south 20 rods, thence east 11 degrees, south 26 rods, thence east 16½ degrees, south 96 rods to intersect the highway running from Bryce Aldrich’s easterly to David White’s.

A record from the minutes of the survey of a public highway as explored and surveyed July 13th, 1814, by Joseph Comstock and John Russell, two of the commissioners of Highways for the town of Palmyra and Chester Cleveland and Abner Rawson, two of the Commissioners of Highways for the Town of Ontario, beginning in the center of a public highway leading from Roswell Gennings in the Town of Ontario to Ruth Brown’s in Palmyra on the north line of the Town of Palmyra, thence west on said line 1 mile and 148 rods until it intersects a public highway leading from Asahel Lannon’s to Palmyra.
