January 16th, 1799 Mud Creek established as a navigable stream from the west line of No. 12, 2nd Range to the mouth of the same by John Swift and Benjamin Wells. Superintendents of Highways Stephen Phelps, Town Clerk
March 11th, 1799, a new division of the road districts made as follows: 1st Road district beginning in Mud Creek, where the west line of Webb Harwood's land intersects said creek to extend south to the town line and westerly up the middle of said creek to the west line of Lot No. 8, thence south to said town line.
2nd Road District beginning at the west line of Webb Harwood's land, thence west on the road that leads by John Gilson's to the west line of said town, including all the road south within the limits of said town down to the first mentioned line, excepting what is included in the 1st District.
3rd Road District beginning on the town line west of William Jackway's, thence north on said line across Mud Creek to road laid on the north side of said creek, thence westerly to Webb Harwood's west line including John Swift, Esq. and Nathan Comstock and all the road south to the south line of said town.
4th Road District beginning at the west line of No. 12, 2nd Range, thence easterly on the north bank of Mud Creek until its junction with Red Creek, thence on the south bank of said creek to the west line of Thomas Goldsmith's land, thence down the middle of said creek to James Galloway's west line including all the road to the south line of the town.
5th Road District beginning in the middle of Mud Creek as far west as James Galloway's west line, thence down the middle of said creek to the east line of the town including all roads to the south line of said town.
6th Road District comprises all the roads north of the last mentioned district as far west as William Humphrey's east line.
7th Road District beginning at the east line of William Humphrey's and thence up Mud Creek including all the roads north of the 4th District as far west as Red Creek and up the west bank of said creek to Thadeus Taft's south line, thence up the east bank of said creek to the town line.
8th Road District includes all the roads north of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Districts and west of the 7th.
