From the first intrepid pioneers who carved out a foothold on the western frontier of a young nation, to the prosperous merchants and spiritual revivalists borne on the historic flow of the legendary Erie Canal, to a diverse population of individuals and families leading the way into the 21st century, innovative, forward-thinking folks have called Palmyra "home" for over 200 years!

Palmyra is located in the heart of Western New York State.  It borders the northern edge of the beautiful Finger Lakes Region, noted for spectacular scenery, four-season outdoor recreational fun, and fine wines

of every kind.  Just 6 miles north of Exit 43 on the New York State Thruway (I-90) and only 30 minutes by car from the area's cultural and commercial hub of Rochester, Palmyra provides a safe, relaxing, family-friendly community with easy access to big city conveniences.  Add great schools, a unique array of museums, festivals and community events throughout the year, and you'll soon agree that Palmyra might just be the perfect place to call "home," too!

Saturday is Farm Market Day in the Palmyra Village Park from May through October.
