PORT OF PALMYRA MARINA
Port of Palmyra Marina Restrooms
October 19, 2010 - This past Spring the concrete floor was poured under the pavilion and the utilities were brought into the restroom facility.  Many other projects throughout the summer required our attention and work slowed to a crawl over the summer.   However, this the project is intended to quickly pick up speed again throughout the Fall and Winter months as most of the remaining work is within the restroom facility itself.  The project will be completed by June 1, 2011.

2009 - Construction of the restroom complex at the Port of Palmyra Marina progresses. The work is being done by Palmyra Village Buildings & Grounds and Highway Departments with the assistance of local contractors and suppliers. A 2010 opening is anticipated. See photos.

Oroginal Project Timeline: Beginning August 2000
Project Budget: $292,400 (HUD), $100,000 (Canal Corporation), $50,000 (NYS Parks/EPF), $25,000 (DEC Pumpout Grant)

The heart of Palmyra's canal improvements program is its new Marina at the Division Street bridge. It will be part of the plan to offer boaters improved services along the entire length of the canal. It will provide a direct connection between the canal and downtown Palmyra, and help to fuel the economic revitalization that the Canal Corridor Initiative envisioned, with increased tourist traffic to the village.
